Historically used from the late Medieval Ages c.1450AD onwards to as recently as 1850AD. This was a strong and yet light sword designed to deliver a thrust.

Historically, this was the last broadsword used by the British. It was the hand weapon of sailors since the Stuart Age and was still a standard piece of equipment at the end of the Victorian Age.

Historically worn by officers and gentlemen as early as the Stuart Civil Wars c.1640-1652.

Historically in use from the late decades of the 15th century until c.1700AD. A quality defensive blade, becoming known as a "main gauche" or left-handed blade.

During the Jacobite wars this was the Clansman’s Broadsword.
