About Us
Once upon a time, there lived a boy in the Whylye Valley in Wiltshire,
England. Benedict Jeal spent many an afternoon making wooden toys with his
grandfather in the garden shed. Ben grew up and married Hellyn and had a
family. But nowhere in the land could they find quality toys that were fun,
educational and encouraged active, creative play. So one day in the year
1994, Ben decided to make a couple of swords for his sons. After some time,
he produced a wooden sword that he was very happy with. The boys loved them
and their friends loved them. He started making them for friends and
neighbours throughout the Kingdom. He made more and more and now, with
Hellyn, they run TymeAgain Historic Toys and make wondrous toys for English
Heritage, National Trust, Historic Scotland and Historic Royal Palaces
(including the Tower of London) throughout the British Isles. Their visitors
from foreign lands love the natural, heirloom quality and distinctive
TymeAgain designs. Ben uses his love of history and extensive knowledge to
create more historically inspired toys every year.
Their friends Jane and Peter in Victoria, British Columbia, loved their toys,
too, and wanted to share them with all their friends. So one day, Ben and
Hellyn asked them if they would help make their toys available to everyone
in Canada and the United States. Now Jane and Peter are happy and proud to
be a part of the TymeAgain family, bringing these wonderful toys to all
children in the Land of North America.
