Place a sword or wand in the hand of your child and, quite simply, it changes their world. They become a knight on a quest, the newest member of Robin Hood's gang, a swashbuckling pirate, an intrepid explorer, or a magical creature whose powers are only limited by their own imagination. It gives them the hands-on sense of adventure that children rarely experience today.

We specialize in designing and making, almost completely by hand, quality wooden role-play toys and games. We produce robust 2/3 sized replicas of actual historic artifact swords and dirks (daggers) that boys and girls alike love. Other products include bows and arrows, wands, walking sticks, staffs and shields, plus classic games. We also have a new line of full-sized collectible swords made from beautiful solid oak, meant for display. For added interest, products come with an informative swing tag label with historical content, and we have found that children love to collect these.

TymeAgain is a family owned and run business where the products are still made in the workshop in Wiltshire, England. Quality of workmanship has and always will be paramount and over the years TymeAgain has become a market leader in the British heritage toy marketplace. In an age when you, as a concerned parent, want to know where and how your children's toys are made, we can truly say that we know the craft workers who make our toys, how they actually make them and where every product comes from that we use. We understand that you want complete peace of mind when purchasing anything for your children.
We are a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen. The Guild Stamp assures you of only the very highest quality in everything we do.

Like you, we are very conscious of our carbon footprint, and have been since the company started 15 years ago. That is why we take the time and expense to ethically source all of our wood from managed, sustained plantations only from First World countries, mostly Western Europe (Scandinavia). Our toys are made of natural products - wood, jute webbing and string. We use minimum packaging on everything - nothing is boxed or packaged in plastic. You can feel comfortable knowing that your children's toys will not, literally, cost the earth. All our products are CE Certificate of Europe safety tested. We also meet all U.S and Canadian safety standards for toys. We do not use any tacks, nuts/bolts, nails or screws, paints or varnishes (we only soak them in linseed oil). When you give your child a TymeAgain toy, you can feel reassured knowing that our role play toys are the safest on the market today.

Introducing these wonderful toys to Canadian and American families is an exciting adventure that we relish. TymeAgain swords are very popular in the U.K. where they can be found at heritage sites like the National Trust, English Heritage, Historic Scotland and Historic Royal Palaces (including the Tower of London), as well as famous museums like the British Museum. Visitors to the U.K. love to take home these one-of-a-kind momentos for their children to enjoy and treasure. Now we want every North American child to feel the magic that TymeAgain wooden toys can bring. These classic pieces can open the door to your child's imagination like nothing else. Due to the nature of wood, no two toys are identical and every child appreciates the uniqueness of what is theirs alone. Imagine the look on your child's face on Christmas morning when they see these amazing toys! So many toys today are easily discarded but, due to the very timeless nature of these wooden toys, TymeAgain pieces become beloved heirlooms. Our quest, and wish, is for each boy and girl to experience this love for a special wooden toy.
TymeAgain toys are available here on our online retail store, where you can get free shipping anywhere in Canada or the US on orders over $100. They are also available at Buddies Toy Shops and Red Balloon Toys on Vancouver Island, BC. If you have an established business (toy store, gift store, etc.) we welcome wholesale enquiries.

Bows and arrows. This page features our very simple, yet effective, beech bow and safety arrows. Our quiver contains spare arrows or they can be purchased separately.
Swords. This page features the wooden play swords that TymeAgain are best known for in the U.K. This range has grown over the years as more and more museums and historic sites desired toys swords with more to offer than role play - they wanted toys that were representative of real historical swords. All the toys in this range are 2/3rd the size of actual artifact swords but, first and foremost, they remain great fun toys to delight and inspire children. Holding a toy like one of these wooden swords helps a child to gain an interest in the person who would have owned it, and from that often comes the desire to learn history. We feature wooden swords from all eras - Medieval swords (Middle Ages), Bronze Age swords, Dark Age swords, Egyptian swords, Roman swords, Tudor/Stuart/Georgian/Victorian swords, and many more.
Swords (Full-Size Oak Blades). This line was introduced to enable adults, teens and older children to continue their love of historical replica weapons. These beautiful full-size replicas are perfectly weighted for practicing muscle movement and make amazing collectible items to display and treasure. With the unique design aspects that TymeAgain is known for, these blades make the perfect gift for the young adult who can often be difficult to buy for. As an interesting decor item that fits in particularly well with a house with natural elements - stone, wood, granite, etc. they are distinctive and impressive. Already very popular in the U.K. with youth and adults since their introduction only last year, we are sure you will find these solid oak blades simply awe-inspiring when you see them. Please note that these are not 'waster' swords intended for mock battles - they will eventually splinter.
Sets. This page features our wooden shield and sword sets. These are part of our Creative Play line. Each project includes a hand cut and finished shield, a simple beech wood sword with its distinctive rope guard, a design for rubbing on the shield face and a poster featuring the person who would have used that shield in battle. It comes complete with instructions and can be painted over and over again as desired. These wooden toy shield and sword sets are left untreated so that paint, etc. will adhere.
Staffs/Wands/Misc. This pages features the best of our magic and fairytale wooden toys. The Fairy and Magic Wands are beautiful spiral carved sticks, the Pilgrim Traveller's Walking Stick and Journeyman's Staff are long twisted sticks that children just fall in love with, the Wizard's Staff has a wonderful hand grip and a decorative birch wood nub for authenticity, as does the historically accurate Heroic Knight's Lance.
Shields. This page features our wooden shield collection. These come from different historical times - Medieval, Ancient Briton, Roman, Egyptian, Viking/Norman and Tudor. Please note, these are all unfinished wood (not oiled) to be decorated as desired.

Role-play not only develops imagination and creativity but is now recognized as being important for intellectual, social and emotional growth - including improved vocabulary. It is even significant for its importance in developing the skills needed for high level math and science. Role play is at the very core of childhood, where there is no limit to whom they can become, where they can go and what they can do.
Don't just watch the movies...
When children take themselves on a magical journey they build the storyline (scriptwriter), determine the action (director) and, usually, play the lead role (actor). This experience builds a strong sense of self-confidence, and children who, through creative thinking, will mature into better problem solvers.
But most of all, it's loads of healthy, wholesome fun that creates some of the best childhood memories your child will ever carry with them. And once you've faced a dragon in your own back yard, you're ready for anything!

"My son is so enjoying all the TymeAgain things we ordered. They have made his life."
"As attractive as these toys look on your site, it is nothing compared to how stunningly beautiful they were when they arrived. They literally took our breath away."
"Our children all have the same Heroic Knight's Broadsword. One carries it around everywhere, always on a 'mission', one loves to oil it and has it displayed on the wall in their room, and our daughter enjoys decorating it with strips of velvet and leather around the handle and with feathers, ribbons, whatever she can find. What they all have in common is that they truly treasure these wooden swords."
"Since buying some of your wooden swords, the children have been saving like crazy to add to their collection. We have had two orders now and have been thrilled with everything. We love the swords and the wands and the journeyman's staff but it's impossible to pick a favourite. Why didn't they have these when I was a kid?"
"Our four year old has always been shy and introverted. When he got his Knight's Arming Sword, for the first time he was running around the park with his older brother and sisters. His confidence has soared and sometimes we even find him asleep with it in his hand."
"We bought one of your bow and arrows set for our 8 yr old and now he is never without it. He wears it proudly over his shoulder wherever we go."
"Our kids have quite a few toys (lots of Playmobil, Lego, electronic stuff) and we have been amazed how much they love these simple wooden toys. It is a delight to see how they treat them as if they are the most precious things they own."
